To our Valued Customers,
We regret to inform you that effective September 30, 2017, ESPN is terminating its programming licensing agreement with Americable International Japan, Inc. ESPN indicated their legal rights for distribution are limited only to the United States and U.S. Territories. As a result, effective October 1, Americable will no longer carry ESPN (Ch. 118 SD & Ch. 518 HD) and ESPN 2 (Ch. 119 SD & Ch. 519 HD).
We at Americable are disappointed in ESPN’s decision to no longer provide its
programming to U.S. military personnel and their dependents stationed in Japan. We
understand this change may affect your entertainment experience, and will continue
to petition ESPN on behalf of our subscribers for access to their programming lineup.
